MALTA Gladys A. Lundman, 92, a Malta homemaker, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Phillips County Hospital of natural causes.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Malta Lutheran Church. Interment will be in the Malta Cemetery. Gladys was born June 30, 1914, at Lovejoy to Svend and Anna (Sorhus) Severeide. She was raised and educated in the Lovejoy community. She moved to Malta to work as the housekeeper and nanny for Dr. Setzer. Gladys married George Lundman on July 14, 1941, in Malta. They farmed and ranched south of Malta until moving to town in 1992. George preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1995. Gladys was an active member of the Malta Lutheran Church. She loved to play games, watch television and be around her family and her grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Ronald (Clarice) Lundman of Malta, Merrill Lundman of Havre and Marvin (Lela) Lundman of Helena; daughters, Sandra (Lester) Wiebe of Malta and Lexy Hauff of Billings; 10 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren; brother, Norris Severeide of Malta; sisters, Sylvia Field of Spokane, Wash., and Ruth (Bill) Nash of Klamath Falls, Ore. Memorials may be made to the Malta Lutheran Church or charity of the donor's choice. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
