RODNEY HOLDEN obituary

Rodney Guy Holden, 58, formerly of Havre, died at his home in Las Vegas, Nev., on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, of natural causes.

A private service was held in Las Vegas. A family memorial service will be held in Montana this summer where, at Rod's request, his cremated remains will be scattered. Rod was born Dec. 8, 1948, at Valley City, N.D., to Guy and Arlene Holden. He lived in Valley City and Grafton, N.D., before the family moved to Havre in 1952. He attended Havre Public Schools, Northern Montana College and the University of Montana in Missoula, where he received a business administration degree. Rod was a business manager and accountant for numerous companies. In Montana, he was employed by the Chester Public Schools, the Northern Montana Health Care Inc. in Havre and Eagle Manufacturing in Great Falls. He moved to Colorado in 1990 and worked for the Community Food Share in Boulder and for NBI Inc. in Longmont. At the time of his death, he was employed in Las Vegas, Nev., as an accountant by CSC Entity. Rod will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his love of the outdoors, sports and travel and his devotion to family and friends. Rod was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene, in June of 2006. Survivors include his father, Guy Holden of Longmont, Colo.; brother, Lon (Barb) of Great Falls; sister, Pam Jonas of Denver, Colo.; and six nieces and nephews.
