Julie A. Turner, 72, of Havre died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.
Viewing will be held Wednesday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 4 p. m. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a. m. Thursday at the St. Jude Catholic Church with Tim Maroney officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Julie was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Havre to Julius and Severina “Marie” (Possenti) Morelli. She was raised and educated in Havre, graduating from Havre High School. After high school, Julie went to work for Dr. Forester in Havre. She met Jim Turner and they were married Oct. 18, 1952. The couple made their home in Havre and raised two sons. Julie volunteered her time with AARP and helped senior's prepare their taxes. She also was instrumental in helping with cancer and heart fund activities. She worked as a teacher's aide at St. Jude School and was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church. Julie was a very talented person. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making dolls. Her garden was a delight to her and her flowers were always beautiful. Julie enjoyed her poker night with the girls, traveling and especially golfing with her husband, Jim. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, H. J. Putnam. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jim Turner of Havre; sons, Ron (Cindy) Turner of Havre and Larry (Anita) Turner of Seattle, Wash .; sister, Louise Putnam of Great Falls; brother, Robert (Barbara) Morelli of Havre; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions in Julie's honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1107, Havre, MT 59501. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
