Kenneth E. Christopherson Jr., 74, left his family and friends on January 19, 2007 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Smith Downtown Chapel, 925 S. 27 St. with the Rev. Don Dillavou will be officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later date in Havre. Kenny was born the oldest of five to Mabel and Kenneth Christopherson Sr. On March 9, 1932, in Havre. He was raised in Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1950. He began his long career with the Great Northern Railway at the age of 15. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Upon returning from Korea, he continued to work for the Great Northern Railway while being a member of the Montana National Guard. Kenny married Doris “Dodie” Harriman on Dec. 5, 1953. He retired from the National Guard as a captain. Shortly after he retired from the Great Northern Railway, they moved to Billings to be closer to their children. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Kenneth Sr. Of Havre; and brothers, Raymond of the Seattle area and Norman of Havre. Survivors include his wife Dodie; daughter, Linda Rae (Tom) Molyneaux; son, Craig Lee Christopherson; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; sisters, Wanda (Eddie) O'Donnell and JoAnn (Charlie) Hergesheimer, both of Havre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
