RHODA ALBERTSON obituary

Rhoda R. Albertson, 74, of Havre died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Park Place Nursing Home in Great Falls of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place and her memorial service will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Pastor Rowlie Hutton officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the graveside services. Rhoda was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Noonan, N.D., to Knute and Edna Reite. After her father's death, Rhoda and her mother moved to Minot, N.D. Rhoda's mother married Kenny Dokken and Rhoda was adopted by Kenny. Rhoda lived in Livingston, Lewistown and moved to Havre her sophomore year in high school. She graduated from HHS in 1950. Rhoda married Jerold “Bud” Albertson in September 1950. The couple made their home in Havre. Rhoda worked for several years for a local accounting firm. Rhoda and her husband, Bud, were also partners in Altec Graphics with their son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Julie Albertson. Rhoda was a member of the Fifth Avenue Christian Church. She also sang in the choir for Messiah Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Eagles and was very active in the UTU Auxiliary. Rhoda enjoyed playing racquetball, bowling, sewing, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and spending as much time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Rhoda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerold “Bud” Albertson in 2005; and daughter, Rhonda Nordgulen in 2004. Survivors include her children, Kennith “Butch” (Polly) Albertson of Havre, Brett (Julie) Albertson of Bozeman and daughter, Mardy Robinson of Havre; 13 grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Memorials in Rhoda's honor may be made to Bear Paw Hospice or to a memorial of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
