KIMBERLY FUENTEZ obituary BOX ELDER

Kimberly Elaine Duran Fuentez, 41, of Box Elder died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at the Northern Montana Hospital from injuries she received in a motor vehicle crash on Dec. 26.

Her wake service began at 4 p. m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Box Elder with her funeral service to be held at 11 a. m. Saturday, also at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Father Nyquist will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Havre. Kim was born April 9, 1965, in Havre to Wilford (Leo) Duran and Glenda Salois. She was raised and educated in Box Elder. She attended Job Corps for awhile and then returned to Box Elder, where she worked in construction for the Chippewa Cree Tribe. Kim raised her five children and was privileged to stay home with them. She enjoyed attending each of their activities. Kim was a collector of Native American art. She enjoyed watching basketball games and attending her grandchildren's activities. Kim was always strong in mind and spirit. She could light up a room simply with her presence, and laughter was not far behind. Through the years, she garnered many friendships. Her greatest joy in life was being with her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Kim always had great things to say about her grandchildren. She was willing to listen to other people, no matter who they were, and was a friend to all. She was very generous and would do whatever she could or give whatever she had to people to help. Kim was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Rebecca Salois; and paternal grandparents, Leo and Elizabeth Duran Sr. Survivors include her mother, Glenda Salois of Browning; father, Wilford (Leo) Duran of Great Falls; children, Lee Ann Lyn Duran of Browning, Carol Jean Duran, Randi Rae Duran, Toni Jo, Miche Claire Fuentez and Jaelynn Faye Duran, all of Box Elder; sisters, Delores (Lori) Parisian of Box Elder, Shelly Duran (Orville) of Great Falls, Carol Lee Duran of Browning, Cynthia Duran of Billings and Linda Carter of Stevensville; brothers, Leo “Boy” (Christina) Duran of Great Falls and Dustin Alex Duran of Billings; grandchildren, Cameron, Andrew and Wade Boggs of Browning, and Jeremiah James Demontiney of Box Elder; and numerous aunts, uncles nieces and nephews. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
