CHINOOK Hilda M. Drugge, 98, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at the Sweet Memorial Nursing Home due to natural causes.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church with burial following in Kuper Memorial Cemetery. Hilda was born on July 24, 1908, to Henry C. and Alvina (Struve) Hofeldt. She was raised on the family ranch and attended Bear Paw School and junior high school in Wisconsin. Hilda return to help with the family ranch. Later she worked in Davenport, Iowa, and Great Falls. She married William O. Drugge on June 1, 1932, in Chinook. Hilda lived north of Zurich until 1976 and moved to Chinook. Hilda was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, home demonstration club in Zurich and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. In Chinook, she enjoyed the Friday morning coffee with friends. Survivors include sons, William (Dwan) Drugge and Lenard (Judy) Drugge of Zurich; daughter, Dorothy Hendrickson of Great Falls; brothers, Paul, Hans and Lawrence Hofeldt of Chinook; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Drugge in 1968; daughter, Patricia MacMillan; brothers, Roy Hofeldt, Ben Hofeldt and four infant brothers; sisters, Marguerite Hofeldt and Christine Miller. Memorials may be sent to the Zion Lutheran Church or one's choice. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
