John F. Kampf, 35, a construction laborer of Great Falls, formerly of Havre, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at his home, due to undetermined natural causes.
His funeral service will be held at Fifth Avenue Christian Church in Havre on Friday at 2 p. m. John F. Kampf was born Feb. 12, 1971, in Havre to Ken Kampf and DeAnn Brese. He was raised and educated in Havre, attending Havre High School and then Eastern Montana College in Billings. John worked seven years with First National Pawn in Billings, then with various construction jobs in Billings and Havre. He enjoyed boxing, fishing, drag racing, children and his dogs. Survivors include his fiance, Laree Strong, and her daughters, Skylin and Makynzie Kurns, of Great Falls; parents, Ken Kampf and DeeAnn Brese, both of Havre; sister, Michele Kampf Evans, and her fiance, Luke Weiss, of Billings; brother Jeff Kampf of Mesa, Ariz .; grandparents, Alice Harshaw and Ray Crawford of Havre; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; nephews, Zach Kampf and Chaz Weiss; and nieces, Tara Kampf and Allison Weiss.
