News you can use
Elizabeth I. Doney Havre Daily News [email protected]
You can now subscribe to the entire Havre Daily News via the web with their new e-Edition that has recently become available. Previously, readers only had access to one free local, state, sports and national story each day on the newspaper's free Web site. Online readers can now upload their paid e-Edition subscription before the home delivery subscribers receive their newspaper in their newspaper boxes. The same great look and feel of your daily newspaper delivered to your computer. The site is updated on a daily basis at 1 each afternoon by the IT manager/ mailroom foreman Jeremy Sorensen. “We now have the best of both worlds. Whoever wants online or hardcopy can have one or the other, at the same price,” said Sorensen, who has been at the newspaper for almost two years. “Of course, the e-Edition has so much more to offer the readers such as the newspaper archives, the purchase photos option or having a month's worth of Havre Daily News at your fingertips. If you want anything past that, you can go right into our online archives that go back to 1999.” The e-Edition is very user friendly and only takes a pdf viewer like Adobe Acrobat to upload on your home or office computer. Adobe offers their pdf reader service for free, while the subscription rate for the e- Edition is the same low price as the home delivery cost at $11 a month or $132 a year. All it takes is a credit card and you don't even have to leave your home to be reading the Havre Daily News within minutes. The paid e-Edition features the same easy to read format with the same great stories and photos you are used to seeing in our print edition. When you are reading a story and it jumps to another page there is a convenient link at the bottom of the article that takes you directly to the completion of the story. You can also copy, save or print any story for your own personal records, with a few clicks. With the e-Edition, you have the convenience of being able to read your newspaper whenever you like from anywhere you choose. Other great features include the ability to view past editions online 24/7 for a small Fee, the option to purchase any photos featured in the newspaper and, for the advertisers, double exposure at the same hardcopy price. To check out the e-Edition, simply log on to http://www.havredailynews. com and if you have any questions, call Sorensen at 265-6795.
