SHIRLEY ANN HOFFMAN obituary

Shirley Ann Hoffman, 70, of Grove, Okla., a former Box Elder resident, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at the Integris Grove General Hospital of complications of pneumonia.

Memorial services were held on Friday, Sept. 22, at Worley Luginbuel Chapel in Grove, Okla. Interment was in Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Shirley was born June 28, 1936, in Havre to Augustus “Gus” and Alice (Flatness) Hobbs. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1954. Shirley married Russell Hoffman in 1960, and they moved to Arizona, where they resided until 1977, when they moved to Moore, Okla. They moved to Grove, Okla., in 1985. Shirley was very active in her community, including serving 18 years on the water board. She was a football fanatic and looked forward to watching her favorite teams New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs each fall. She was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren and took every opportunity encouraging them to follow their dreams. She was a great wife to Russ for more than 46 years, a wonderful mother, grandmother and true friend. Survivors include her husband, Russ; son, Fred (Donna) Hoffman of Moore, Okla.; daughter, Katherine (John) Cudjo of Mesquite, Texas; siblings, Eileen Halvorson of Missoula, Bonnie Dyrdahl of Sunburst and Phil Gaudet of Shelby; and numerous other relatives.
