Anna was born Nov. 16, 1916, north of Hingham to John and Angeline (Geisinger) Lipp. She was raised and educated in Hingham, graduating in 1936. In August of 1937, Anna moved to Havre and was employed by Clair and Loretta Dow. She maintained their home, yard and related duties involving their farm and business. During this time, Anna enjoyed many trips to Glacier National Park, Canada, California and Minnesota. Following Mr. Dow's death in 1958, Anna remained with Loretta Dow until her death in 1992. Anna also cared for her mother, Angeline, who moved to Havre in 1965 following her husband's death. Anna remained her mother's caregiver, while she resided at the Lutheran Home from 1971 to 1992. Anna moved to the Eagles Manor in 1993 and enjoyed many years there, listening to music and local sports games on the radio, watching her favorite game shows, puzzles, daily walks and spending time with her family. Cut work embroidery, gardening, and yard work were favorite hobbies of Anna. She moved into the Care Center in 2004 and continued to enjoy much independence and many activities. Anna's strong faith in God carried her always and she was very proud of all her godchildren. She was always a very organized, meticulous, attention to detail lady who devoted her life to compassion and loyal caregiving. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Catherine Mangold and Christine (Nold) Bohl. Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth Strong of California; and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. Memorial contributions in Anna's honor may be made to the Northern Montana Care Center Activities Department or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
