Lloyd K. Clark, 85, of Havre died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Highland Cemetery with Pastor Richard Rice officiating. Interment will follow. Lloyd was born Dec. 18, 1920, in Hamilton to LeRoy and Edna (Adair) Clark. He was raised and educated in Hamilton and graduated from high school there. He enlisted in the United States Navy May 12, 1944, and was honorably discharged Feb. 9, 1946. He returned to Montana after the service and lived in Hamilton and also Glasgow, Libby and Missoula. Lloyd married Katherine I. Steele on Sept. 16, 1950, in Hamilton. The couple moved to Havre in 1960. Lloyd worked for the Department of Energy and Montana Power Company, and later retired. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and camping. He and Katherine enjoyed playing cards and spending time with their friends. He was a member of Job Daughters and served as an associate guardian, and was also a Mason. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine; son, Rex Clark; an infant son who died at birth; and brother, Lester. Survivors include his daughters, Marilyn Clark of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jeanne Burruss of Corvallis; brother, Howard Clark of Hayward, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Memorials in Lloyd's honor may be made to the Havre Hill County Library. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
