JAMES SANGREY obituary

ROCKY BOY James Joseph Sangrey, 22, died early Thursday morning, July 27, 2006, in a motor vehicle accident just outside of Box Elder.

His wake service will begin at 2 p. m. today with his funeral service 10 a.m Saturday, all at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church with Father Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. James was born Oct. 23, 1983, in Havre to Vincent “Charlie” Eagleman and Dawn Marie Sangrey. He was raised by his grandmother Jeannette Demontiney. James attended schools at Wahpeton Indian School and Flandreau Indian School, both in North Dakota. He worked as a laborer and a carpenter. James enjoyed playing video games and visiting his family and friends. James was baptized Catholic and his god parents were Hayley Demontiney and Larry “Spud” Denny Sr. James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel Sangrey Sr., Joseph Demontiney Sr., Mary Stanley Four Souls, Four Souls, Faith The Boy, Victor The Boy, Dennis Sangrey and Sybil Sangrey Colliflower. Survivors include his mother, Dawn Sangrey (Olin Henderson) of Havre; father, Vincent Eagleman (Jill Monteau) of Washington state; special friend, Stephanie St. Marks of Box Elder; sister, Shawn Denny of Box Elder; brothers, Ryan Sangrey and Michael Sangrey of Box Elder and Jamie Sangrey Doney of Box Elder; grandparents, James “Buzzy” Sangrey of Rocky Boy and Vernon The Boy and Jeannette Demontiney of Rocky Boy; aunts, Caryn (Lonnie Plain Bull) Sangrey of Pryor, Lisa (Tony Stump) Sangrey of Rocky Boy, Kemeemee Blatt of Rocky Boy, Paulette Ape of Billings, Robin (Neil) Rosette of Box Elder and Brandon The Boy of Box Elder; uncles Pete (Jodi) Demontiney of Box Elder, Gordon (Jackie) Denny of Shawnee, Okla., James (Vernell) The Boy, Verna The Boy of Rocky Boy; great-grandmothers, Delia Demontiney and Minnie Sangrey, both of Rocky Boy. Arrangements were entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
