ROZET, Wyo. - Al Geiser, 59, of Rozet, Wyo., died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, from a heart attack.
A private family graveside service will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in June.
Al was born Dec. 5, 1946, in Havre to Charles and Marie (Schmid) Geiser. He grew up in Big Sandy on his family's farm. During his high school years, Al lived in Washington state with his uncle and aunt. He graduated from high school and joined the U.S. Navy in 1967.
On June 21, 1972, Al married Donna McPherson in Lewiston, Idaho. They moved to Malta, where he worked on the Veseth ranch. In the mid 1970s, they moved to Havre and Al went to work for Halliburton, where he was employed for 27 years. In 1993, Al moved his family to Gillette, Wyo. Al was working for Basic Energy Services when he died.
Al was a workaholic and enjoyed what he did for a living. Some of his favorite times were camping and fishing with his family. He also enjoyed his time hunting with friends. Al very much enjoyed being ornery with those he liked.
Al was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Donna; daughters, Shawn (Roger) Clay of Gillette and Susie Geiser of Rapid City, S.D.; sister, Joyce Carpenter of Billings; and brother, Vernon Geiser of Bakersfield, Calif.
Memorials can be made to benefit the Salvation Army or the Veterans Administration.
