KENNETH VAILE obituary

Kenneth C. Vaile, 81, of Havre died Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at his home of natural causes.

Cremation will take place. A prayer vigil and rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church with his memorial service 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Robert D. Grosch officiating. A fellowship luncheon will be held at St. Jude Parish Center immediately after the service.

Kenneth was born December 28, 1924 in Browning to Earl and Martha (Billedeaux) Vaile Sr. he was one of nine children. When he was a young boy his mother passed away and Kenneth and his siblings were sent to the Holy Family Mission and then later transferred to Boys Town where they all graduated. Kenneth entered the United States Navy in 1943 serving in World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. He married Martha Juneau in 1946 in Browning. The couple made their home in Browning where Kenny worked as a construction engineer for the US Public Health Service. He was transferred to Havre and retired in 1987 after 24 years of service.

Kenny was a life member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and wood working. Kenny was a very kind and loving man who was known as “Grandpa” to many children.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Martha Vaile, of Havre; daughters, Geri and Cindy Vaile, both of Havre; sons, Harold (Donna) Vaile of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kevin (Chris) Vaile of Milwaukee, Wis.; brother, John Vaile of Browning; five grandchildren, KC Vaile and Khris Vaile of Fort Worth, Brandon Sharples of Bremerton, Wash., Adam Vaile and Kirby Vaile of Milwaukee, Wis.; and special granddaughters, Katie and Danie Wirtzberger of Havre.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kenneth's honor can be made to: North Central Senior Citizens Center, Boys' Town or St. Jude Parish Center.

Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
