Russell Lee Zumbaum Sr., 61, of Havre died on Sunday, May 21, 2006, at his residence in Havre of heart complications.
Cremation will take place and his memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Darlene Berger's residence in Rocky Boy. Interment of ashes will be held at the Russette Family Cemetery.
Russell was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Bismarck, N.D., to Arthur and Hilda (Budau) Zumbaum. He attended school in Bismarck and worked for Ray Commack Carnival. In 1967 at Rocky Boy, Russell married Pearl Jean Saddler. They lived at Rocky Boy for a short time before returning to the carnival in Bismarck, where they worked together for 10 years. In 1978, they returned to Rocky Boy and then moved to Havre.
Russell enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing poker machines and being outdoors with his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Pearl Zumbaum, in April of 2006
Survivors include his sons, Russell L. (Dawn) Zumbaum Jr. and Joe (Holly) Saddler, both of Havre; two brothers; three sisters; six grandchildren; and caregivers, Robert Russette, Rhonda Stanley, Charlene Sutherland and Keith Stump.
Services were entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
