SPOKANE, Wash. - William Howard Koutnik, 77, of Spokane, Wash., died Feb. 20, 2006, in Spokane.
At his request, no funeral service was held.
He was born in Havre on Nov. 28, 1928, to Joe and Margaret Koutnik.
He graduated from Northern Montana College, then earned an accounting degree at the University of Denver, graduating with the class of 1954.
He retired as a partner of LeMaster and Daniels, where he was a CPA for 37 years. His professional memberships included the American Institute of CPAs for 50 years and the Washington Society of CPAs for 40 years. He was a past member of the Spokane Country Club, Spokane Elks, Downtown Rotary, University Club and American Legion.
He served three years in the Air Force, including a year at Fairchild Air Force Base at Spokane. He attained the rank of sergeant as an air policeman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Margaret; and four siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Sue; daughters, Michele Larsen, Janice (Mike) Edwards and Jeanne (Mike) Layton; son, Bill (Karen) Koutnik; stepdaughter, Barb (Steve) Hormel; 18 grandchildren; siblings, Robert, Louis and Russell Koutnik and Eleanor Nelson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation and arrangements were by the Neptune Society.
