ALBERT VAUGHN obituary

Albert Fowler Vaughn, 77, of Havre died Tuesday May 16, 2006, surrounded by his family at Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with Tim Maroney officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Albert was born Nov. 20, 1928, in Havre to Charles and Hazel (Fowler) Vaughn. He was raised and educated in Havre. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1945, serving in World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1947.

Albert returned to Havre and worked for Havre Ready Mix, the Great Northern Railway, John Deere as a mechanic for 31 years and B&R Implement as a mechanic.

He married Lorraine Pogreba June 20, 1953. They made their home in Havre and raised their two children.

Albert was a very hardworking man who enjoyed working his farm in Box Elder and on all of his John Deeres. He loved his family very much and always enjoyed times spent with them. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and bowling.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hazel Vaughn; sisters, Mildred Keefer and Clara Frank; and brothers, Jim, Ralph and Ray Vaughn.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lorraine Vaughn, of Havre; daughters, Linda (Ken) Sorensen of Big Sandy and Sharon (Dan) Chvilicek of Kalispell; grandson, Kyle Sorensen of Big Sandy; granddaughters, Mandy (Dennis) Wolfe of Randle, Wash., and Kendra Chvilicek of Packwood, Washington; two great-granddaughters; brother, Arthur (Jean) Vaughn of Conrad; sister, Dorothy (Earl) Kainz of Billings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Albert's honor can be made to a memorial of one's choice.

Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
