Ruth was born Sept. 30, 1912, in Hanley Falls, Minn., to Hartvig and Louise (Dons) Christiansen. As a young girl, Ruth moved with her family to Havre and attended Havre Public Schools.

Ruth met Norman Boucher and the couple married July 26, 1930, in Havre. The couple lived in Havre, raising their six children.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very generous person who always put her family's needs before her own. Ruth enjoyed camping with her family in the Bear Paw Mountains. She enjoyed her flowers, sewing, crocheting and cooking holiday dinners for everyone to attend. Ruth taught her children and grandchildren how to make her Norwegian lefse. Ruth attended many of the dances that Norman played at and enjoyed listening and dancing to the music. Occasionally, Ruth and Norman would host square dancing parties in their basement. Ruth and Norman did some traveling, mostly to see extended family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 73 years, Norman Boucher, in November of 2004; daughter, Juanita Rodgers; son, Charles Boucher; brothers, Lafe, Carl and Harold Christiansen; sisters, Helga and Hilder; sisters-in-law, Ethel, Rose and Doris Christiansen; sons-in-law, Dean Howard and Melvin Rodgers; great-grandson, Josh Rodgers; and great-great-granddaughter, Shelby Johnson.
