KATHLEEN PETTY obituary

Kathleen C. Petty, 82, a resident of Havre, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Northern Montana Hospital due to a stroke.

Crema-tion will take place, and her wishes are that no services will be held.

Kathleen was born March 28, 1924, in Rock Lake, N.D., to Edward and Sophie (Koskie) Hendrickson. She attended school in Rock Lake. In 1943, she moved to Montana with her parents.

She met John B. Petty and the couple were married in September of 1946 in Glasgow. They moved to Havre in 1957.

Kathleen enjoyed all kinds of butterflies. She was an avid TV watcher and enjoyed the soaps and the show Law & Order. Kathleen liked to go for rides in the car - she didn't care where to, just that she was out and looking at things.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John, in 1972; son, Charles; sisters, Alice Kristenson and LaVerna Marks; and stepdaughter, Darlene Lehman.

Survivors include her son, William James (Mavis) Petty of Glendive; stepchildren, Bonnie Brazer of Havre, John D. (Polly) Petty of Shepard, LeRoy (Lorraine) Petty of Billings and Allen Dale (Kathy) Petty of Sidney; sister, Anna Arlene (Wilmer) Reisig of Hardin; three stepgrandchildren whom Kathleen was very close to Norma (Mike) Mariani of Havre, Karen McIntosh of Havre and Duane Brazer of Nebraska; two special great-great-grandchildren, Casey and Chase Mariani; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece Marlene Kristenson of Bozeman; and special friends, Lynn Roll Nelson and Brett Sterner, both of Havre.

Memorials in her honor can be made to a memorial of one's choice.
