Marguerite Julia Donohue, 105, of Havre died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place and her memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Jude Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery. A fellowship hour will be held at St. Jude Parish Center immediately after the graveside service.
Marguerite Julia Donohue was born in Melrose, Minn., on Jan. 5, 1901, to James and Julia (Lynam) Donohue. Marguerite studied music at St. Benedict's College at St. Joseph, Minn., and education at the State Normal School at Dillon. She taught first grade in Havre for several years. She then established a private kindergarten in 1945, where she taught several generations of Havre kindergarten students.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters, and one nephew, Edward Donohue.
Marguerite is survived by three nieces, Helen Donohue Randlett of Creswell, N.C., Mary Ellen Donohue Roylance of Downey, Calif., and Mary Kay Holland Ruff of Maple Grove, Minn.; and nephew, Lawrence Holland of Woodbury, Minn.
Memorials in Marguerite's honor can be made to St. Jude Catholic Church.
Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
