Marvin Jerome Gunnarson, 75, of Havre died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at his home in Havre.
Marvin was born July 12, 1930, in Grafton, N.D.
Marvin married Marilyn Joyce Hoag on June 13, 1955, in Moorhead, Minn. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Central Bible Institute, a bachelor of science degree from Moorhead State University, and a master of science degree from Texas A&M.
He retired from teaching in Havre.
Marvin contributed to the Hi-line community through annual youth retreats, the Resting Place at the Great Northern Fair, the Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen and his weekly services at Eagles Manor.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn (Hoag) Gunnarson of Havre; sons, Daryl (Roxann) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dean (Donna) of La Crosse, Wis., and Dennis (Laura) of Tacoma, Wash.; daughter, Susan (Keith) Hanger of Havre; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Lois (Floyd) Wibbels of Mahnomen, Minn., and Fran (Jim) Allen of Blaine, Minn.; brothers, David of Golf Port, Miss., and Howard (Ruth) of Yakima, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gust Gunnarson, and mother, Alma (Sivertson).
Viewing will be held at Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. His funeral service will be held at the Havre Assembly of God Church, 901 Ninth St. W. at 2 p.m. Wednesday. He will be buried in Harwood, N.D., on Saturday.
