Mildred “Sis” Brill, 87, of Havre died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at a Benefis unit in Great Falls.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home in Havre with Bishop Thad Willis presiding. Interment will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery.
Sis was born to Otto C. & Indiana “Ida” (Andersen) Hyslop in Havre on July 27, 1918.
She was a graduate of Havre High School and worked for F.W. Woolworth Company in Havre as well as for The Grand Hotel. She later retired from the Park Hotel.
Sis met and later married Charles Brill. They had one son, Gary B. Brill.
Charlie, as well as her longtime companion, George Materese, preceded Sis in death.
She will be fondly remembered for her love of dancing with George at the VFW Club. She loved to go on nature walks in good weather and drive around Havre in her early '70s orange Toyota with her mini zoo of stuffed animals as passengers. Sis was a classy lady, always dressed in perfect coordination.
Survivors include her son, Gary Brill of Alemeda, Calif .; older sister, Maryian A. Bailey of Iowa; niece, Judy A. Gameon of Iowa; six grandnieces and grandnephews; and 17 great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
