TIMOTHY MASSEY obituary

BILLINGS - Timothy I. Massey, 52, of Billings and formerly of Havre, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings.

A funeral service will be held at Shiloh Methodist Church in Billings at 4 p.m. Friday.

Tim was born in 1954 to Ed and Lucille Massey in Anaconda. He grew up in Anaconda and graduated from Anaconda High. He lived in Havre for a few years, where he worked a number of jobs, including as a painter/carpentry, cook, and a clerk at Buttrey's Food and Drug. He had a daughter, Malinda. He eventually moved to Billings, where he met the love of his life, Tawny Pedersen. They were married in 1989. They had four children, whom Tim gave his whole heart toward.

Tim enjoyed all of his time with his wife and children. He was especially proud of his daughter Rosie and never missed any of her Special Olympics events. He was very involved with Amanda and Jessica's softball. He enjoyed coaching them and watching them evolve into great ball players. After having four girls, Tim was ecstatic when his son, T.J., was born. He finally had another boy in the house to protect him from the girls. Life got better for him when he was blessed with two grandsons, Brendan and Trenton. He especially loved to spoil them with bags of suckers. Tim also enjoyed playing his guitar and writing songs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ed; and daughter, Rosie.

Survivors include his wife, Tawny Massey; children, Amanda, Jessica and T.J., all of Billings, and Malinda (Randy) Domire of Havre; grandsons, Brendan and Trenton Domire of Havre; mother, Lucille Massey of Anaconda; in-laws, Dee and Ken Pedersen of Billings; sisters, Brenda Massey and Margie (Ron) Ewart of Missoula, Mary Kay Massey of Anaconda and Betty Ann (Bill) Colvin of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.
