MALTA - Thelma Stevens, 88, a homemaker of Malta, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Phillips County Hospital of natural causes.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Adams Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Malta Cemetery.
She graduated from Malta High School in 1935.
Thelma married George W. Stevens on Oct. 25, 1936, in Malta. In 1937, they moved to Lewistown, returned to Malta, then moved to Whitefish. In 1949, they moved to Coram, then Dillon in 1970. He retired in 1977 and they moved back to Malta 1978. He died in 1988 and Thelma continued to make Malta her home until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Stevens, on Jan. 14, 1988; and sister, Phyllis Mitchell, on June 1, 1989.
Survivors include her sons, Gerald “Jerry” Stevens of San Jose, Calif., and David Stevens of Havre; daughters, Phyllis Kessler of Magnolia, Texas, Becky McLean of Bayard, N.M., Margaret Frederick of Alaska and Debora Moran of Charlo; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Adams Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
