TIM CARLSON obituary

MALTA - Tim N. Carlson, 54, a lineman, of Malta died Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the hospital in Malta of cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Adams Memorial Chapel.

Timothy Nels Carlson was born in Malta to Sam and Jenny Carlson on Dec. 17, 1951. He attended school in Malta and graduated in 1970. After graduating, he worked for Big Flat Electric until 1974, than he worked for various line companies until he settled down with his friends and brothers at Red Rock Power in 1990.

He married Rita M. Kent on April 23, 1980, in Red Lodge.

Tim had a great love for his work as a lineman and it ran thick in his blood. The anticipation of a big storm, rebuilding lines and restoring power was very exciting for him. When it came to friends, no one could find a better one than Tim. Paradise for Tim was the great outdoors. He loved a good fishing hole, the company of Mother Nature and his friends there to enjoy it with him.

Tim was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sam and Jenny Carlson; grandfather and grandmother, Nels and Christine Olson; and sister, Barbara Arnold.

Survivors include his strong and loving wife, Rita Kent Carlson; son, Nathan Carlson of Malta; special little girl, Jolee Gates Hull of Billings; sisters, Karen Kerchal of Sun River, Anita Gamma of Kalispell, and Janet and Janice Carlson of Malta; brothers, Michael Carlson of Malta and Jim Carlson of Bozeman; many nieces and nephews; and his second family and brothers, Mark, Steve and Keith Pankratz.

Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
