MARION LOVELAND obituary

HELENA - Marion Sticka Loveland, 85, of Helena died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at the Cooney Convalescent Home of natural causes.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in East Helena with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. A second memorial service will be held at a later date in Havre with interment to follow in Highland Cemetery in Havre.

She was born in Havre on February 15, 1920 to Anton and Ida Sticka. She graduated from Havre High School in l938.

She was raised on the family farm located 23 miles southwest of Havre. During World War II, she worked in Los Angles, helping build B-24 bombers. Following the war, she returned to Havre and married Warren Loveland on July 18, 1946. She spent the next 20 years working first at Super Save Store in Havre and later at Buttery Grocery Store until retiring in the mid 1970s.

She most enjoyed getting together with family and friends. Many meals were eaten at her home and at the homes of her bothers and sisters living in Havre and, many games of pinochle were played. Both Marion and Warren loved to hunt, fish and camp, and traveled over much of Montana in their motor home enjoying the outdoors.

Marion was preceded in death by Warren, her husband of 54 years; brothers, Joe and Leo of Havre and Ray of Woodburn, Ore .; and sisters, Ethel McLain and Blanche Reynolds, both of Havre.

Survivors include her son, Terry of Florence; sisters, Joan Lamey of Havre, and Jean Fox and Pat Robinson, both of Helena; and numerous nieces and nephews.
