CLIFFORD KINHOLT obituary

Clifford Lee Kinholt, 76, of Havre died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, from complications likely due to asbestosis and lung disease.

His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Rowlie Hutton officiating. A viewing will be held at the church beginning at 10 a.m. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church. A private burial service will be held at Calvary Cemetery.

Clifford was born March 30, 1929, in Havre to Emil and Jean Kinholt.

He married Patricia Flannery in Havre on April 11, 1955. This past year they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Cliff spent his entire life in Havre, where he worked for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern railways for more than 39 years. Cliff also managed Havre Sand and Gravel for more than 15 years. He was a graduate of Northern Montana College and also attended the University of Montana. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks Lodge 656, the Elks, the Eagles and the Optimist clubs in Havre.

His primary interests included spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, baking, travel and politics.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Evelyn Curtiss, Josephine Baker and Jean Nault.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia; sons, Michael (Joann) Kinholt, Gregory Kinholt of Maui, Hawaii, and Stephan Kinholt and partner, Ken, of Seattle, Wash.; grandchildren, Chalon, Ryan and Courtney Kinholt of Havre; sisters, Edna Matsen of Tucson, Ariz., and Donna Kelley of St. Paul, Minn.; brother, Donald Kelley of Kent, Wash.; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Thaddeus School, 420 Seventh Ave., Havre, MT or to a charity of one's choice.
