Elena Marie (Guevara) Crilly, 49, of Helena and formerly of Havre, died Dec. 4, 2005, at St. Peter's Hospital.
A service was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Helena Funeral Chapel. A second memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fifth Avenue Christian Church.
Elena was born in St. Albans, Vt., to Jose and Pat Guevara. She attended Carroll College and graduated from Northern Montana College with a nursing degree. She had worked as an RN, director of nursing in Northern Montana Hospital Emergency Room, Intensive Care unit for a total of 20 years, and worked at St. Peter's in Helena as director of same-day services and patient-care services.
She was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church service in Bible study and the choir. She also worked as a volunteer for Mental Health Awareness, State of Montana Suicide Awareness, City of Havre RMT Training and Bicycle Safety Awareness Committee. Her hobbies included quilting, spending time with family and helping others. She was always concerned with everyone else.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat; brother, Steve; and Chester the dog.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchel Crilly of Helena; stepson, Jeremy of Helena; father, Jose of Miles City; sisters, Elise (Don) Westin of California, Myra Due, of Belgrade, Nancy (Bill) Abel of Miles City and Robin Crilly of Washington; and pets, Harper the puppy and Oscar the cat.
Memorials can be made to the American Foundation for prevention of Suicide, KXEI radio of Havre or St. Peter's Foundation.
