CARLA CLEMENTS obituary

MISSOULA - Carla Clements, 47, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, after a long battle with breast cancer.

Viewing was scheduled for this morning at the Clark Fork City Church, to be followed by her funeral service at 10 am. Burial was planned at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, followed by a reception back at church.

Carla was born Jan. 18, 1958, to Carl Green and Dixie Vickhammer. She attended school in Malta, then moved to Harlem, where she graduated in 1976. Carla attended Trinity Bible College in Jamestown, N.D., and Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo. Carla graduated from Northern Montana College with a teaching degree. She taught school in Havre.

Carla married Danny Clements June 11, 1983. They moved to Lewistown in 1984, then to Gildford in 1997, where she continued to teach. She home schooled her sons, Chris and Chae, through the fourth grade. The family moved to Missoula in 2000. Carla substituted at Hellgate Elementary and Valley Christian, as well as taught at St. Joseph's Catholic School. She attended the Breast Cancer Coalition in Washington, D.C., in April, 2005, representing Montana.

The vacation she loved the most was the Christmas in Hawaii with all her family, including her mother and sister, brother-in-law, nieces and nephew.

Carla was a blessing to all who knew her. Her warmth and love surrounded not only her family and friends, but the hundreds of students whom she graced throughout her teaching career. She gave from her heart and only thought of others. Her love of the Lord and His message was No. 1 in her life.

Her mother preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 2005.

Carla is survived by her husband, Danny; sons, Chris and Chae; a stepson, Shawn (Kimi); sister, Ruth (Ed); two nieces; nephew; father; half siblings, Jaymie and Andrea; two stepgrandchildren; other family; and multitudes of friends.
