Marguerite C. Frey, 81, of Havre died of natural causes on Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, surrounded by her loved ones at Northern Montana Care Center.
Her memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Jude's Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert D. Grosch officiating. A luncheon will be served immediately after the Mass at St. Jude Parish Center. A private burial will be held on Saturday.
Marguerite was born July 15, 1924, in Portal, N.D., to Oscar and Myrtle Strand. She attended schools in Hinsdale and Havre.
She married Clarence Frey on Dec. 11, 1941, in Havre. They were married for 57 years. Marguerite was a dedicated homemaker, who was a wonderful seamstress, excellent cook and a loving mother.
She was a member of the Northern Montana Hospital Auxiliary, St. Jude PTO and St. Jude Parish.
Marguerite enjoyed socializing with her friends, playing cards, reading and collecting angels. She also enjoyed camping and picnicking at the Bear Paw Mountains.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Frey, in 1999; and sister, Maxine Adams, in 1986.
Survivors include her daughters, Leslie (Bud) Baldwin of Havre and Susan (Ron) Modrall of Napa, Calif.; sons: Jim Frey of Havre, Rick Frey of Portland, Ore., Bill Frey of Great Falls and Ron (Tammy) Frey of Kalispell; sister, Marilyn (Sandy) McLean of Havre; sister-in-law, Alice Darby of Arizona; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude' Catholic Church or to North Havre Community Food Bank.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
