SHARON ELAINE WARD obituary

Sharon Elaine Ward, 48, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, of pancreatic cancer at her home with her family.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Messiah Lutheran Church with Pastor

Michael Dahle officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the service at the graveside.

Sharon was born April 27, 1957, in Havre to Glenn and Joyce (Miewald) Warp. She was raised in Havre and graduated from Havre High School. She attended Northern Montana College and graduated with an associate degree in business.

She met Kerry Ward and the couple married Sept. 9, 1978, in Havre. They had two children. Sharon worked for Havre Public Schools for the last 13 years. Her last position was in the accounts receivable department. Sharon quit her job when her illness progressed.

Sharon was a beautiful person who had a great zest for life. She was known by many for her beautiful smile and positive outlook on life. She enjoyed shopping, teaching Sunday school, and attending Blue Pony and University of Montana Grizzly games. Sharon loved to travel and vacation with her family and friends. She was very active in the community, volunteering for the Relay For Life, Havre Youth Baseball, vacation Bible school and Sunday school and WELCA. She served on the Messiah Lutheran Church Board. Sharon's family and friends were a very important part of her life.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Kerry Ward of Havre; son, Eric Ward of Missoula, and daughter, Ali Ward of Havre; sisters, Vicki Warp of Missoula, and Carol Dearborn of Anchorage, Alaska; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials in Sharon's honor may be made to Havre Relay for Life or to Messiah Lutheran Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
