MALTA - Elizabeth (Beth) Bigwood Seel, 70, of Malta, a retired bookkeeper, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at a Havre care center of lung cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Adams Memorial Chapel. Burial of her cremated remains will follow the service at the Malta Cemetery.
Beth was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Malta to Cecil and Edna (Robinson) Bigwood. She graduated from Malta High School in 1952.
She married the love of her life, Elmer ”Duke“ Seel, in Malta on March 11, 1953. They resided in Malta and worked side by side at Valley Motor Supply until his death.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer, on Sept. 17, 1989; and sister, Mary Lee Velk.
Survivors include her brother-in-law, Rayburn ”Pete“ Velk of North Havre; sister-in-law, Faye Seel of Malta; nieces and nephews, Mark Velk (Kemi) Velk of Havre, John (Ren Enebo) Velk of Missoula, Lisa Velk (William) Buseman of Missoula, Laura Lee Velk (Curtis) Owen of Big Sandy, Charles ”Shorty“ (Donna) Seel of Bellevue Wash., and Terry Seel (Bill) Mosier of Deer Lodge; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews; and two great-great-nephews.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
