MATTHEW ANDERSEN obituary

MONTICELLO, Minn. - Matthew Finn Andersen, 34, of Monticello, Minn., died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, of an apparent heart attack at Big Lake Hospital in Monticello.

A funeral service was held Sept. 15 at the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello with the Rev. Jim Noterbaart officiating.

Matthew was born March 24, 1971, in Minneapolis to David and Shelley (Heimdahl) Andersen. He spent most of his life in the Monticello area.

He enjoyed swimming, sports, being outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycling, cars, designer clothes and spending time with family and friends. Matt worked as a ceramic tile and flooring contractor as owner of Vizenor Tile Co.

Matthew married the love of his life, Barbara Vizenor, on Aug. 21, 2004, in a small private ceremony on the deck of his mother and stepfather's home in Havre, so his 92-year-old grandmother, Alice Heimdahl, could attend and take part in the ceremony.

Matthew was a beloved son and devoted husband and stepfather. He was charismatic from birth and was kind and compassionate and always there to help a friend in need.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; stepsons, Daniel and Michael; mother, Shelley (Gary) Grant of Havre; brothers, Joel (Dani) Andersen of Becker, Minn., Jon (Beth) Andersen of Walker, Minn., Michael (Susan) Andersen of Bemidji, Minn.; grandmother, Alice Heimdahl of Havre; and five nieces and nephews.
