MARGARET LORANGER obituary

Margaret Genevieve Loranger, 82, died Thursday Sept. 21, 2005, at Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes.

Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Margaret's funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Brad Ulgenes officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Vineyard Room of the Duck Inn immediately after the service at graveside.

Margaret was born July 21, 1923, in Havre to Frank and Aminta (Dillenbeck) Wilson. She was raised and educated in Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1941. She married Donald E. Loranger later that same year, they shared 54 years of marriage together.

Margaret was a homemaker most of her life, but always remembered with fondness her years working as a nurse's aide, and her work baking many wedding cakes for local residents over the years.

Margaret was a life-long member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, and was active in many service clubs, including Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star and Eagles Auxiliary. She shared her love of fishing, hunting, camping and spending time at her cabin in the Bear Paws with her children and grandchildren, and was passionate about such hobbies like painting, crocheting, baking and doll-making.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Donald E. Loranger Sr., in 1995.

Margaret is survived by her children, Donald E. (Janet) Loranger Jr. of Bigfork and Suzy (Alex) Capdeville of Havre; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Dick Winter of Havre.

Memorial contributions in Margaret's honor may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church or to a charity of your choice.

Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
