LETA WELSH obituary

Leta M. Welsh, 78, Havre-area farmer and homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at the Northern Montana Hospital of natural causes. Viewing will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Her funeral ser-

vice will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Rowlie Hutton officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the service at the graveside.

Leta was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Havre to Chris and Hazel (Poore) Hansen. She was raised on her family's farm in Gildford and attended schools in Gildford. She graduated from Gildford High School.

Leta met Orville Welsh and on June 3, 1946, they were married in Havre at First Lutheran Church. The couple had lived and worked on the Hansen farm in Gildford ever since.

Leta was a very hard worker. She enjoyed helping her husband on the farm, cooking wonderful meals and tending to her garden. She loved to spend time with her family, but, most of, with all her grandchildren. Leta and Orville enjoyed traveling together. Their most memorable trip was to Denmark. They also traveled around the state of Montana. Leta and Orville wintered in Hamilton for about 10 years.

Leta was a member of the Lutheran Church in Hingham, a member of the Lutheran Ladies Aide and also participated in a bowling league in Rudyard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Robert Allen Welsh in 1967.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Orville Welsh of Havre; daughter, Kristy Lou (Donald) Naber of Havre; grandchildren, Chad Naber and Bobbie Jo Gobin; sister, Audrey Flynn of Kremlin; three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials contributions may be made to The Fifth Avenue Christian Church or to the Gift of Life Housing.
