KENNETH COCHRAN obituary

CHINOOK - Kenneth Dean Flying/Cochran, 48, of Chinook, a carpenter, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at his home in Chinook of an apparent heart attack.

A wake and rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Red Whip Community Center at Fort Belknap. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Red Whip with burial in the Big Warm Cemetery.

Kenneth was born Sept. 30, 1956, at Fort Belknap, to Kenneth Gordon and Myrna (Flying) Cochran.

Kenny enjoyed most things in life. He was an avid firefighter as well as a construction worker.

He married Avis Boe in 1979 with whom he had four children, they later divorced.

He married Phyllis Speaks Thunder, with whom he had a son. They later divorced.

Kenny had a heart of gold. He was the type of man who could never say no, no matter the situation he was in. Kenny was a good guitar player. His idol was Eggy Cochran, from whom he made most of his music. He believed that what came from the heart was the way it was suppose to be. Kenny was a man who knew how to love, mainly his children and grandchildren. He was known as the life of the party and made everyone laugh.

Survivors include his children, Kenneth Parker Cochran III, Brookes Cochran, Dawn M. Cochran, Myrna M. Cochran and Toni Rae Cochran, all of Fort Belknap; brothers, Preston Cochran of Great Falls, Gordon Cochran, Steve Cochran, Aaron Cochran and Wes Cochran, all of Fort Belknap; sisters, Zona McConnell, Audrey Tincher and Connie Cochran, all of Fort Belknap, Marjorie Cochran of Havre, Melinda Cochran of Oklahoma, Zoni Healy of Harlem, Dovie Smith of Billings; 17 grandchildren; and numerous cousins and friends.
