Gary Lee Arbuckle Sr., 54, of Havre died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at his residence of natural causes.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Rowlie Hutton officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
Gary was born Dec. 20, 1950, in Soap Lake, Wash. He was raised and educated in Washington and graduated from Ephrata High School. He entered into the U.S. Navy in May of 1973 and was honorably discharged as an E4 in May of 1976. Gary then went to work in San Diego, Calif., and worked in the communications field. He also worked for the National Park Service in communications for Yosemite National Forest. He went to work for the U.S. Border Patrol in March of 2001 and moved to Havre.
Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, black powder guns, being in the outdoors and photography. He was a member of the VFW.
Gary was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Survivors include his daughter, Megan (Brian) Kittell of Montrose, Colo.; son, Gary Arbuckle Jr. of Havre; mother, Mary Galle of The Dalles, Ore.; father, John Arbuckle of East Wenatchee, Wash.; sister, Linda Lefforge of Midpines, Calif.; and granddaughter, Lillian Kittell of Montrose.
Memorials in Gary's honor may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
