A funeral Mass was held Monday at 10 a.m. in Saint Paul's Catholic Church with burial following at Mission Cemetery. Wake and rosary began Sunday at 7 p.m. at Harold and

Theresa was born on Aug. 10, 1930, to Frank and Matilda (White Plume) Cuts the Rope at Hays. She attended

She married Harold "Bazoo" Werk Sr. on Nov. 24, 1951, in Chinook. Theresa and Harold raised cattle and horses, and for a brief time she worked for the senior citizens, but her biggest joy was being a housewife and mother to their 11 children.

Theresa enjoyed embroidery, watching her cows, sports and rodeo, especially if her family was competing. She was also a true T-Bird fan. She loved playing cards, fishing, hunting (she was a great shot) with her family, washing clothes and most importantly raising and loving her family, laughing and teasing. Her pride and joy was watching her grandchildren grow.

Theresa maintained her traditional beliefs. She encouraged all her children to excel in their education and was proud of her nine children who graduated from college.
