CHRISTIAN LOFTSGAARD obituary

CHINOOK - Christian Thomas Loftsgaard, infant son of Thor and Julie (Fuglevand) Loftsgaard, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Gabriel's Catholic Church with burial at 2 p.m. in Highland Cemetery at Havre.

Christian was born on May 9, 2005, and battled with hypoplastic left syndrome for 11 weeks.

In his short life, he was cherished deeply and loved fiercely. Through his battles and sweet spirit, he inspired hope, faith and compassion in his parents, his family, his friends and total strangers.

Christian brought communities together in a common wish for his well-being. He was a tough little man and will be remembered for his strength and character.

Christian was preceded in death by his aunt, Emily Fuglevand; great-aunt, Sandy Dohl; great-grandparents, Art Egbert, Bill and Peggy Fuglevand, Lawrence and Edna Dorseth and Bjarne and Katherine Loftsgaard.

Survivors include his parents, Thor and Julie Loftsgaard, and fellow triplets, brother, Torsten, and sister, Lena, all of Chinook; grandparents, Les and Sandy Fuglevand of Chinook and Tom and Kay Loftsgaard of Peerless; great-grandmother, Doris Egbert of Big Timber; four aunts; four uncles; and a large extended family.

Memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor, 1600 Washington Heights; Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
