SHIRLEY RICHMAN obituary

HARLEM - Shirley M. Richman, 74, of Harlem died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at her residence in Harlem due to natural causes.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial fol-

lowing in the Harlem Cemetery.

Shirley was born on May 1, 1931, in Harlem to Irvin and Nellie (Miller) Goodheart. She attended schools in Harlem.

Shirley married Billy T. Richman on June 11, 1950, in Havre. She worked with her husband operating a bowling alley in Scobey and later a grocery store in Poplar. Due to her husband's health, they moved back to Harlem in 1975. Shirley did cleaning and home care for a number of years in Harlem.

She enjoyed baking, bowling, and raising a garden and flowers.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Richman, two brothers, one sister and her parents.

Survivors include her sons, Jim (Cheryl) Richman of Helena, John (Alice) Richman of Harlem, George (Jacque) Richman of Anaconda; daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Berg of Wolf Point; brothers, Swede Goodheart of Malta and Duane "Pete" Goodheart of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; sisters, Marie McCracken of Great Falls, Beverly Richman of Harlem and Carol Cornett of Lodi, Texas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Harlem VFW Auxiliary or to the Gift of Life Housing in Great Falls.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
