MILDRED BEVOLDEN obituary

HOGELAND - Mildred Bevolden, 83, of Hogeland died Friday, July 15, 2005, at Northern Montana Hospital due to natural causes.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Hogeland American Lutheran Church with burial following in Wing Cemetery.

Mildred was born

Nov. 27, 1921, in Oasdale, Wis., to Edwin and Adeline (Fuhrman) Straight. She attended schools in Wisconsin and moved to Hogeland in 1928.

Mildred married Chester Bevolden in Hogeland on June 25, 1950. She farmed with her husband in the Hogeland area until 1975, when they moved to Harlem.

She was a member of the American Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Harlem Busy 20 Club.

Mildred enjoyed gardening in Hogeland, growing flowers in Harlem, embroidering, sewing, making shirts and pants, and was a very good cook and housekeeper. Mildred's priority was her family.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Chester, due to a grain elevator accident in 1977; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Roger (Dorothy) Bevolden of Missoula, Fred (April) Bevolden of Hauchuca City, Ariz.; sisters, Hazel Boettcher of Tomah, Wis., Doris Zellmer of Havre; brothers, Leonard Straight of Beloit, Wis., Leroy Straight of Caloma, Wis.; and six grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Hogeland American Lutheran Church.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
