ANN SIMKO obituary

Ann Pauline Simko, 91, of Havre died Monday, July 4, 2005, at her home of natural causes.

Cremation has taken place. Ann's memorial service will be held Tuesday at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with the rosary beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the

memorial service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert D. Grosch officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery.

Ann was born March 5, 1914, to Michael and Meri (Elias) Simko in Vedora, Saskatchewan. They were immigrants from Czechoslovakia and the family came to the United States in 1925. They lived north of Chinook. In 1928 the family moved northeast of Havre to the St. Joe community. Ann attended country school through the seventh grade. She attended eighth grade at St. Jude School and graduated from Havre High School in 1935.

Ann moved to Harlem and worked for Frips Caf for many years. Her nephews and nieces enjoyed visiting with her at the caf and "Aunt Ann" would treat them to an unlimited selection of goodies from the caf. Ann was a very generous person and enjoyed doing things for people. Ann later worked for Buttrey Foods in Harlem. After her retirement from Buttrey Foods, she moved to Havre to be with her family.

Ann enjoyed volunteering for various things. She was a member of the Northern Montana Hospital Auxiliary for 25 years and was a life member.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her brother, John Simko of Havre; sisters, Elizabeth Wold and Margaret (Richard) Greene, both of Havre; and many nephews and nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
