JOHN LOW obituary

MALTA - John H. Low, 59, of Malta, maintenance supervisor for the Malta Public Schools, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at the Phillips County Hospital from injuries received in a fall.

A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Malta High School. Interment will be in the Malta Cemetery.

John was born March 1, 1946, in Bayard, Neb., to Harold and

Edna (Willie) Low. He was raised in Nebraska and graduated from the Bridgeport High School in 1964.

John worked a wide variety of jobs during his lifetime. He attended Dakota Bible College in Huron, S.D. While attending college he met his true love, Linda Mills, and her sons, Daniel and David. They were married on December 21, 1977 in Huron. After he graduated from college 1978, they moved to Malta, where he was the pastor of Malta Christian Church. John ministered at a number of different places, including Big Sky Christian Youth Ranch, Lewistown, Nebraska and then back to Malta. John was hired as the maintenance supervisor at the Malta Public Schools in 1992.

Although no longer working as a pastor, John was never without his love of the Lord and partook in weekly Bible studies and his men's group. He loved the study of World War II history, especially the aviation side. John was a pilot and also enjoyed flying radio-controlled airplanes. He was always ready to help a friend with anything they may need. John lived his faith. He believed everyone was a minister and he ministered to all. He preached and shared his faith at Elim Lutheran Brethren Church, The Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Little Rockies Christian Service Camp, as well as wherever he went.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Low of Malta; sons, David (Maia) Mills-Low of Bozeman, Daniel (Ann Marie) Mills-Low of Missoula and Cory Low of Scottsbluff, Neb.; brothers, Harold Low Jr. of Arapaho, Neb., and Eddie Low of Scottsbluff, Neb.; sisters, Lois Dobrinsky and Darlene Brown, both of Bridgeport, Neb., Lavinia Suhr of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Mary Ellen Goodro of Wheatland, Wyo.; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Northern Montana Youth Ranch, The Gideon's or the Little Rockies Christian Service Camp.
