BOZEMAN - Myrna Lee Russell, 69,
of Bozeman died Saturday, May 7, 2005, while visiting relatives in Denver, Colo.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Grand
Avenue Christian Church in Bozeman.
She was born Dec. 2, 1935, in Glasgow to Walter and Eva (Foust) Luse.
Myrna graduated from Glasgow High School in 1954. She became a registered nurse in 1957 after attending Columbus School of Nursing in Great Falls.
She met Max Russell and married him in 1958. Together they built a very good life with their two children. Over the years they became secondary parents to many dear friends.
She enjoyed her nursing career. Her involvement with her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, gave her great satisfaction and lifelong friendships. Her sorority sisters became the sisters of her heart.
Her greatest joy was being a grandma. In 1986, Tim and Karla Coder graciously allowed her to be grandma to their boys. Through the years, more grandchildren came into her life. The 12 children were the lights of her life.
A large extended family, including the Luses, Russells, Ophuses, Hollanders and Demcisaks, were dear to her. Sharing her hospitality and her fudge was a gift she enjoyed.
Myrna was a caring nurse, a thoughtful friend, a gracious hostess, a loving wife, a great mom, and most of all, a fabulous grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary.
Survivors include her son, Jon Walter (Patricia); daughter, Jan Marie (Michael); brothers, Ray (Elclaire), Blake (Jo), Michael and Craig (Mickey).
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
