ELIZABETH BELL obituary

GLASGOW - Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Bell, 71, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at Dickinson, N.D., of natural causes.

A funeral service was scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Bell Chapel in Glasgow with Willis Cook officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.

Ann was born April 11, 1934, in Ramona, Okla., to Barney Sizemore and Ida Mae Sizemore. The family moved to Prosser, Wash., a short time later. The family later moved to Yakima, Wash.

Ann met Harley Lilienthal at Yakima and they were married in 1953. They later moved to Kotzabue, Alaska, where she lived until moving to Glasgow.

On Sept. 14, 1967, she married Tennial Bell in Elko, Nev. She lived in Glasgow until 1989, when she moved to Havre. In 1999, she moved to Dickinson, N.D.

Ann was operator of the Bell Child Development Center from 1968 to 1978. She was also a bookkeeper for the Coca Cola Plant in Glasgow and a bookkeeper for Tommy Rodgers. She was a recovering alcoholic from 1981 and very active in Alcoholics Anonymous. She remained faithful to a life free of alcohol.

Ann loved to dance and sing and play cards and bingo. She raised six children and enjoyed watching her seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tennial Bell in 1997; and brother, Walter Edward Sizemore of Bremerton, Wash.

Survivors include her sons, Sidney Lilienthal of Idleyld Park, Ore., Larry Lilienthal of Kent Wash., Randy Lilienthal of Idleyld Park, Ore., Merlin Lilienthal of Fort Irwin, Calif., and Walter Bell of Glasgow; daughter, Beth Ann (John) McNeilly of Dickinson, N.D.; sisters, Clara Hannaman of Anchorage, Alaska, and Shirley Drake of Yakima, Wash.

Bell Mortuary in Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
