ELDUTH PERRY obituary

Elduth Adell Carter Perry, 76, of Havre died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at her residence.

Her funeral service will be 6 p.m. today at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel with Gordon Naylor, Hermon Hamilton and Don Yeates officiating. She will then be transported to Scottsville, Ky., for her funeral service and burial at Mount Pleasant Church of Christ Cemetery in Westmoreland, Tenn.

Adell was born on May 5, 1929, to Gilbert and Ella Mae (Hudson) Trammel in Westmore-land, Tenn. She attended Gumwood Barnes School and Simpson County High School.

She married James A. Carter on Dec. 15, 1947, in Franklin Ky. After the couple was married, Adell and Jim devoted their lives to working for the church as missionaries throughout the United States and eastern Canada.

In 1993, a drunken driver killed her husband, James. Adell then lovingly cared for her mother, Ella Trammell, and brother Jerry Trammell. She later married Kenneth R. Perry on April 5, 1995, in Scottsville, Ky.

Adell traveled extensively throughout her life to places like Montana, Alaska, Kentucky, Michigan, Ontario, California, Minnesota, South Dakota, Indiana and Tennessee. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, traveling and visiting with people. Adell most of all loved to spoil her grandchildren. In March of 2004, she discovered that she had a fatal brain tumor which took her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James A. Carter in 1993 and Kenneth R. Perry in 2003; and brother, Jerry Trammel.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie (Paul) Cox of Utah, Cathie (Bill) Bradbury of Havre; sons, Pat (Carol Roofe) Carter of Pontiac, Mich., Dave Carter of Oakfield, Me., Tim (Rita) Carter of Wallingford, Ky.; sister, Edith Cliburn of Gallatin, Tenn.; brother, Wilburn Trammel of Gallatin, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Adell's honor may be made to the Havre Church of Christ, 1301 11th St. W., Havre, MT 59501 or to a memorial of one's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
