DYLAN RAINES obituary

MORA, Minn. - Dylan Colter Raines, 17, of Mora, Minn., died Thursday, May 5, 2005.

Visitation was held Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church in Mora. A funeral service was held Monday at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Douglas Larson officiating. Interment was at Brook Park Cemetery, Brook Park, Minn.

Dylan was born April 14, 1987, to Debbie Chagnon and Dick Raines.

Dylan had a great passion for the outdoors. He loved spending time out on the farm, four-wheeling, hunting, or just a spur of the moment hike in the woods. He was a collector of fine automobiles. Baseball, hockey and time spent with his teammates and friends were very important to him. Most of all, he loved people, individualism, family and life, along with his special love for Joy.

Dylan's hope and aspirations were to become a chiropractor. He always set high goals and standards and worked very hard to attain them, including his plan to attend college in Hawaii.

Survivors include his mother, Debbie Chagnon of Mora; father, Dick Raines of Brook Park; sisters, Kristine (Prziborowski) Piescher of East Bethel and Tracy (Raines) Wright of West Plains, Mo.; brothers, Tyler Raines of Mora and Ricky Raines of Fort Shafter, Hawaii; grandmothers, Joyce Chagnon of Havre and Dorothy Raines of Quamba; great-grandmother, Julia Svendsen of Helena; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Akkerman-Ingebrand Funeral and Cremation Service of Mora provided the arrangements.
