CHINOOK - Donald Luther Waldrip, 81, of Las Vegas, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at his residence in Las Vegas, Nev., due to cancer.
Services were held at Palm Mortuary on May 3, 2005 at 2 p.m. A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. in Kuper Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
Don was
born on Feb. 9, 1924, in Havre to Luther and Nellie (Casady) Waldrip.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and married Janice Strain of Chinook.
Don worked construction as an electrician and was retired from the construction business.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and Clinton Waldrip; and son, Dale Waldrip.
Survivors include his wife, Janice of Las Vegas, Nev.; sons, Donnivan Waldrip and Darwin Waldrip, both of Las Vegas; daughters, D'Arcy Casady of Las Vegas, and LuEllen Hammer and Sandra Williams, both of Sacramento, Calif.; brother, Ted Waldrip of Seattle, Wash.; sisters, Lorena Rick and Linda Swallow, both of Havre, June Karfstedt of Seattle, Wash., Neomia Bitterman of Powder Springs, Ga., Carolee Walls of Greensboro, Md., and Nevella Hall of Greats Falls; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
