Allan J. "Bud" Kidd, 80, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gildford Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Fallo officiating. Burial will follow at the Gildford Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the church immediately after the graveside service.
Bud was born April 5, 1925, in Havre to James W. and Lulu (Zabel) Kidd. He was raised and educated in Gildford and graduated from Gildford High School. Bud worked on the family farm in Gildford. In 1949 he married Dorothy Crites and the couple made their home on the farm and raised their eight children. Bud enjoyed farming and took great pride in it. He was a family man and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
His wife, Dorothy, died July 29, 1993. He moved to the care center in January of 2004.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Dorothy, in 1993.
Bud is survived by his children, Linde (Mike) Danielson of Havre, Lana Gasper of Port Angeles, Wash., Paula (Jim) Keeler of Havre, Renee Brothers of Havre, Lee Ann (Fred) Church of Aberdeen, Wash., Timothy Kidd of Gildford, Shelly Kidd of Havre, and Sheila Kidd of Havre; sisters, Lola (Edmund) Vogel of Haines, Alaska, and Jean (Rollen) Knapp of Columbus, Neb.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Bud's honor may be made to Bear Paw Hospice, in care of Northern Montana Hospital, 30 W. 13th St., Havre, MT 59501.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
